There's no substitute for hands-on experience. But for most students, real world tools can be cost-prohibitive.
That's why we created the GitHub Student Developer Pack with some of our partners and friends: to give students free access to the best developer tools in one place so they can learn by doing.

Yes. So the whole point of forming teams and working on a project gives you the opportunity to work in a real life setting. I mean seriously, that’s how it works in the industry. You have to learn to work with people from different background, different skill set, etc. What better way than a hackathon to get used to it? Teams include exactly 3 people. You’ll learn a lot. If you don’t know anyone at the hackathon, that’s okay.
So as I mentioned above, you can build anything. A website, a web app, Android/iOS App, Chrome extension, whatever you want to. Problem statements are divided into two themes: Academia and Industria. It’s a free environment. you can literally code whatever you want to.
Trust me, participate in this hackathon and see for yourself.
#hackIndore.
